A hospital emergency care practitioner (ECP) is a highly skilled healthcare professional with an advanced scope of practice who provides critical care in emergency settings, often managing critically ill and injured patients who require advanced diagnostics and procedures.
Job Description
Ensure the efficient and operational readiness of emergency calls
Administer patient care in line with the scope of practice.
Provide medical services for all MELO24 clients road and events.
Ensure the safe and rapid transportation of patients to the appropriate medical facility.
Ensure the accurate completion and submission of all medical reports.
Quality assurance of medical reports
Control and administration of medications
Training and upskilling of staff
Uphold high ethical and professional standards
Respond constructively to pressure and persevere through challenges

Job Requirements
Must have a Matric / Grade 12 Certificate
Must have a valid Driver’s License and PDP
Must have an appropriate B.Tech EMC / B.Hsc EMC qualification (ECP)
Must have at least 2 years’ experience at the appropriate level
Must have an up-to-date registration certificate with HPCSA as an ECP
Must have completed the CPG upgrade
Must be able to cope under pressure
Must have quality assurance knowledge
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work shifts and overtime as required by the business
Take up a supervisory role within the business
High energy levels and tolerance for stress
Adaptable and able to work effectively within a team
