Engineer - Highways at AECOM

Job Description

AECOM South Africa is looking for Engineers for the delivery of diverse local and international projects. Key responsibilities would be the design, preparation and management of road designs and drawings using CAD and 3D modelling software.

Job Summary:

• Preparation and management geometric design models and drawings for roads and other road related structures
• Preparation and management of road geometric designs and drawings, reports, bill of quantities
• 3D design and modelling of roads and associated infrastructure
• Applying the AECOM Quality Management System (QMS) in all work
• Knowledge of Geometric Design Codes, Drainage Design Codes and other relevant standards will be a benefit​​​​

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering
• High competency and specialist design and 3D modelling of roads and associated infrastructure
• Minimum of four years’ experience in the design and modelling of roads, and associated infrastructure
• Proficiency in AutoCad, Civil3D, MicroStation, Open Roads
• Good knowledge of the SANRAL and Western Cape Provincial Governments design procedures will be a benefit
• Experience working for Transport Authority clients in the USA, Canada and Australia will be considered favourable
• Experienced using common data environments Autodesk Construction Cloud (BIM360) and Bentley ProjectWise
