About you:
National Diploma (NQF 6) or higher in Electrical Engineering (Light Current/Process Instrumentation), Electronic Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering
Instrumentation Trade Test
Minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial instrumentation, control systems and process optimisation within heavy industry, mining, smelting or metallurgical operations
At least three years’ supervisory or technical team-lead experience
PLC, SCADA and DCS programming, development and fault-finding experience, Siemens PLC’s will be an added advantage
Strong knowledge of field instrumentation, industrial communication networks, control-system configuration and plant interlocks
Demonstrated project management, shutdown, commissioning and continuous improvement experience
Computer literacy and practical experience with SAP PM, MES, MS Project, Excel and Outlook, supported by strong problem-solving and stakeholder-engagement skills
