Engineering Designer at PERI

Role Summary

• Provide most technically effective solution for client  and most cost effective for PERI on standard applications.
• Provide most technically effective solution for client  and most cost effective for PERI of complex applications under supervision.
• Provide technical consultation to Sales Department and Clients, during meetings or technical site service for standard applications.

Key Responsibiliteis

• Correct design of standard/complex formwork/scaffolding solutions (shop, assembly, and fabrication drawings).
• Accurate preparation of material lists
• Apply knowledge of PERI design processes and products and mentor Design Draughtsman and/or Apprentices.
• Communicate relevant information with other departments.
• Design of final technical solution to be delivered to site.
• Design utilising key Value Based Pricing items and available stock.
• Provide technical project management with focus on material value, cost, and time schedule.
• Manage technical change requests that lead to variation orders and create awareness within sales team.
• Align with Operations on delivery items, portfolio, and material availability.
• To have a proactive responsibility and awareness for OHSA procedures related to the area of responsibility.
• Technical contact person for Customer on standards applications.
• Apply digitization tools provided by PERI to increase productivity (Elpos, Quicksolve etc.).

What you'll need to be successful:

Qualification and experience required

• Diploma / Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 2 years of formwork experience

Skills/Attributes

• IT proficient (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
• High knowledge of PERICAD/AUTOCAD  
• Good organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing)
• Strong work ethic, open and reliable
• Trustworthy and honest
• Willingness to learn and a proactive approach to gain knowledge of systems, procedures, calculations and digital applications.
• Draughting or construction experience
