MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
Mediclinic Southern Africa is a healthcare provider operating in South Africa and Namibia are currently in search of Enrolled Nurse to participate Upskilling Programme. The Purpose of the Enrolled Nurse Upskilling Programme is to upskill Enrolled Nurses to the Mediclinic standard.

This programme is for:

• Enrolled Nurses who want to work in private healthcare and wanting to gain more private experience;
• An Enrolled Nurse wanting to return to the job market after a while;
• An Enrolled Nurse needing more development with regards to clinical skills and standards
• Graduates and registered Enrolled Nurse seeking gain experience within the hospital 
• Its a permanent position

REQUIRED EDUCATION

• Essential Education:  Enrolled Nurse Certificate
• Desired Education: None 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Essential Minimum Experience: None
• Desired Experience:1 year post qualification experience before placement in a specialised unit

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

• Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team
• Identify, prevent and report risks to ensure patient safety
• Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment
• Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions
• Participate in creating a learning environment that builds staff competence
• Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charged

• Basic life support trained
• Infection prevention and control (IPC) principles and protocols
• Pharmacology
• Scientific nursing principles and process
• Patient assessment skills
• Nursing processes and procedures
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
• Relevant nursing legislation
• Nursing care plan skills
• Risk identification
