Environmental Officer - Witbank at Glencore

The incumbent in this role will be responsible for ensuring that environmental management systems, rehabilitation methods and legislation are in place and complied within area of responsibility to meet the environmental requirements of Glencore Coal South Africa.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with environmental legislation and practices.
• Ensuring implementation of environmental management systems.
• Providing environmental support to management.
• Assisting with the implementation of site-specific projects.
• Assisting with training and awareness of environmental management systems.
• Maintaining site specific environmental file and electronic system.
• Conducting visible field leadership inspections.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A relevant degree.
• Driver’s license (Code EB/08).

Minimum Experience:

• Minimum 75% completion of the Graduate Trainee Program OR minimum 2 Years’ Experience.
