ESG Consultant | Green Building Design Group
Green Building Design Group (GreenBDG) is seeking an ESG Consultant to join our growing team of consultants. GreenBDG provides an integrated, comprehensive, and intuitive sustainability platform for ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) management. We assist private and public organisations develop and implement ESG-linked sustainability initiatives that provide long-term financial growth, and mitigate enterprise risk.
Overview
The ESG Consultant will report to the ESG Manager. This position will work as a part of the integrated team serving a diversified listed property portfolio fund. This role offers an opportunity to directly own client relationships that drive revenue while growing your career in the ESG space.
Key Responsibilities
Collate and Analyse client ESG data, including the ability to conduct interviews with various stakeholders relating to the property fund portfolio
Develop and deliver on ESG analytics and reporting
Manage the delivery process for ESG scorecard, including framework alignment and submission, and ESG gap analysis and assessments
Advise clients on ESG maturity plans and implementation of opportunities
Support clients with Carbon Footprint Verification statements and ESG policy updates

Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following professional experience:
Bachelor's degree required
1 - 3 years of professional experience
Foundational knowledge of REITs, GreenStar, Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs), Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), GRI, SA Income Tax, Carbon Tax, and IFC ESG Performance Standards (preferred, but not required)
Experience with Listed and non Listed Property Funds (preferred, but not required)
Proficiency in Microsoft software applications, particularly Excel
Experience assessing GHG Inventories (real estate experience is a plus)
Experience using Salesforce.com (preferred, but not required)
