    Expeditor(Fixed term Contract)

    Expeditor(Fixed term Contract) 

    ERG Africa invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of an Expeditor. This is 3 months contract role with a probability of an extension. The Expeditor’s key function is to expedite all purchase orders for delivery of materials, thus ensuring that the suppliers meet their obligation relating to the purchase orders’ contract delivery date, scope of supply, and invoiced value. P.S Interested candidates can apply by forwarding their application to [email protected] stating the name of the position on the subject line.     Key Responsibilities 

    • Keep constant contact and surveillance with suppliers in order to maintain contract delivery dates.
    • Ensure feedback to the relevant end users of scope of supply progress thru the issuance of expediting and system reports.
    • Expediting full release of materials against the Purchase Order or contract scope of supply and communicating order discrepancies to procurement / supply chain management.
    • Expediting supplier shipping documentation in conjunction with Logistics Department.
    • Liaising with supplier for receipt of payment invoices and verifying release of materials against the scope of supply prior to release of payment if no credit terms exists.
    • Escalating any payment issues affecting supply to management immediately.
    • Contact and liaise with supplier in order to ascertain that the delivery dates on the order will be met.
    • Constantly updating internal Systems on Purchas Orders EAD (Estimate Arrival Dates), daily deliveries –POD Proof of delivery Order, by daily follow-ups with all stakeholders. • Assist in fast tracking of High priority Orders.
    • Additional Purchase Order statues reporting on special projects as and when required, re. for Dewatering and High Priority Orders
    • Report on inbound PO’s to CSF Logistics.
    • Raise internal requisition in MSD365.
    • Resolve problems to speed up delivery of orders.
    • Monitor that agreed load plan for Purchase Orders are adhered to and report on non-compliances and instituted mitigating action to avert stocking out.  
    • Flag late supply to be further investigated for capacity and ability to supply products timeously.
    • Load / create internal Purchase Requisitions
    • Maintain good relationships with suppliers and vendors.
    • Keep accurate records and updating spreadsheets and Expediting Reports were required.
    • Receipt / Process goods for services rendered to Centre Logistic in MSD365.

    Strategic/Operational

    • Ability to solve practical problems, as well as working effectively within emergencies so as to minimize disruption and losses, establishing root cause and providing reasonable solutions.
    • MS Office proficient (Ms Excel in particular).
    • MSD – Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP / Inventory background.

    Essential Qualifications

    • Grade 12 or equivalent.
    • Proven track record in liaising with stakeholders and communicating with both demand and supply on all expediting related matters.
    • Orbfusion System working experience will be an added advantage.

    Knowledge and Experience

    • Experience working in isolated FIFO locations within Africa or developing countries necessary
    • English/French speaking capability and previous deployments in DRC preferred
    • Exposure to diverse multi-cultural settings an advantage
