    Factory Shop Manager – Somerset West

    • We are looking for a Factory Shop Manager (FMCG) – Somerset West who can drive branch profitability, manage stock and sales performance, and lead a high-performing team. The ideal candidate will ensure excellent customer service, efficient operations, and strict adherence to pricing and company policies.

    Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
    Branch Profit Maximization

    • Implement and monitor operational requirements at branch level
    • Drive sales performance and ensure consistent profit growth
    • Maximize gross profit through effective pricing and markdown management
    • Manage stock holding, ordering, and pricing accuracy
    • Compile weekly/monthly profitability, waste, and admin reports

    People Management

    • Lead daily team planning and performance discussions
    • Motivate, coach, and develop staff to meet targets
    • Manage staffing levels and scheduling
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

    Stock Availability

    • Maintain optimal stock levels and product availability
    • Manage stock shortages and inter-branch transfers
    • Implement promotions aligned with seasonal demand
    • Oversee monthly stock takes and reporting

    Customer Experience

    • Create a positive, customer-focused environment
    • Manage returns and resolve customer queries effectively

    Other Responsibilities

    • Take full accountability for store profitability and operations
    • Manage pricing and reduce waste on expiring stock
    • Prepare operational and performance reports as required

    Requirements:

    • Grade 12 / NQF 4
    • 3+ years’ experience in retail/FMCG or similar environment
    • Computer literate (MS Excel; WMS advantageous)
    • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle

    Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
    • High attention to detail with strong numerical skills
