    Field Sales Executive

    About the job
    Purpose of the Job: 

    • The Field Sales Executive is responsible for growing the company's gross profit by securing and implementing profitable new business sales. The role aims to achieve the annual new business target stipulated.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Administration: Manage new business sign-ups, implement SOPs, and stay updated with industry news and challenges.
    • Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely CRM usage for customer capture, call reporting, and opportunity management. Regularly update customer information and submit monthly reports.
    • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with customers, enhance supply chain deliverables, deliver value-added sales processes, match customer needs with suitable service providers, and assist with tenders and RFQs.
    • Financial Responsibility: Focus on reducing costs, increasing profitability, maintaining accuracy and due diligence, managing company assets with integrity, and working efficiently to exceed budget expectations.
    • Management Responsibility: Demonstrate effective management behaviour, be consistent and fair, invest in and optimise people's performance, identify and develop talent, manage staff performance accurately, and handle business conduct breaches professionally with HR involvement.
    • Sales: Generate new business revenue through leads, prospecting, cold calling, proposals, and client interfacing. Ensure profit margins meet budgetary requirements, achieve profitability targets and quarterly sales goals, and adhere to sales KPIs.
    • Profile

    Required Knowledge:

    • Overall supply chain exposure and understanding.
    • Knowledge and understanding of the forwarding and clearing industry, including sea freight, airfreight, road freight, import, export, warehousing functions, and country requirements.

    Demonstrated Abilities:

    • Negotiate at all levels, and thinking strategically.
    • Work independently while being an integral part of a team.
    • Work within strict deadlines and a target-driven environment.
    • Prioritise and determine areas of importance/attention.
    • Produce and deliver high-quality presentations.
    • Operate in a highly pressured environment.
    • Network effectively.

    Qualifications/Technical Training:

    • Tertiary qualification in logistics or supply chain is preferable.
