Finance Analyst at GBS

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. This role is responsible for providing accurate financial reporting, revenue reconciliation, business analysis, and management insights that support strategic decision-making and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse key business performance metrics including persistency, churn, lapse rates, net book growth, and revenue trends to provide actionable insights to management.
• Prepare and deliver accurate financial reports, management reports, forecasts, and executive reporting packs within agreed deadlines.
• Reconcile commission statements against operational systems to ensure the completeness and accuracy of revenue received.
• Investigate, resolve, and escalate commission and revenue-related queries while ensuring compliance with agreed commission structures and SLAs.
• Perform premium collection reconciliations and policy profiling checks, ensuring accuracy and completeness of customer collections.
• Monitor daily cash flow movements and assist with revenue estimation and financial performance tracking.
• Provide analytical commentary on collections performance, profitability, and key business trends across products and sales channels.
• Support internal and external audit processes by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Product, and Operational teams to provide financial insights and reporting that support business objectives.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, streamline workflows, enhance controls, and introduce automation where possible.
• Assist with ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and projects as requested by senior management.

Minimum Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a Finance, Financial Analysis, Accounting, or Revenue Reconciliation role.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting principles and financial concepts.
• Ability to analyse and interpret large volumes of financial data accurately and efficiently.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

• Experience within the Insurance or Underwriting industry.
• Experience with commission reconciliations and commission revenue processes.
• Exposure to premium collections, policy administration, or revenue management environments.
• Experience with process improvement initiatives, automation, and reporting enhancements.
• Experience working with Salesforce and Microsoft Power BI
