Finance Controller at Next Biosciences

Role Purpose: 

• Create and maintain a sustainable and effective financial operation for the Next Biosciences organisation.

Role Accountabilities:

• Identify process deficiencies and implement improvements
• Test financial controls and improving control systems
• Produce quarterly management accounts
• Preparing reports on budget to actual variances
• Reviewing and loading supplier payments by reviewing supporting documentation
• Dealing with day to day client account queries
• Reviewing and managing debtors ageing analysis and debt collecting processes
• Reviewing stock take sheets and allocating stock and cost of sales adjustments
• Liaising with external auditors and managing the external audit process
• Prepare reports on budget to actual variances. Review and prepare with the budgeting process on a quarterly basis
• Prepare budgets and forecasts
• VAT, PAYE, PAYROLL Reconciliations and statutory tax submissions
• Application of IFRS where applicable on existing as well as expected implementations
• Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements
• Ensure that all balance sheet reconciliations are produced on an accurate and timely basis to include bank reconciliations, debtors, creditors and inter-company accounts
• Ensure implementation and adherence to finance policies, procedures and systems across all team
• Support month-end and year-end close process

Qualifications:

• Bcom Accounts degree
