Finance Manager at Salt South Africa

Overview:

• An established multinational business is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join their finance team. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone with a strong technical finance background who enjoys taking ownership of the full finance function while supporting the broader business.
• Working closely with senior leadership, you’ll be responsible for financial reporting, tax compliance, statutory requirements and managing the monthly close process. This role also offers the opportunity to become a trusted second-in-command, stepping in to support the business whenever required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage the full accounting function and monthly financial close.
• Prepare financial statements and management reports.
• Oversee tax compliance, including VAT, PAYE and Corporate Income Tax.
• Coordinate external audits and ensure statutory compliance.
• Review financial controls and identify process improvements.
• Support and mentor junior finance team members.
• Partner with senior leadership to provide financial insights and business support.

Requirements:

• Relevant Finance or Accounting qualification.
• 5+ years’ finance experience.
• Strong financial reporting and tax experience.
• Experience with audits and statutory compliance.
• Advanced Excel and ERP systems knowledge (SAP advantageous).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
