Finance & Operations Manager at SRG Recruitment

• An established and growing business within the industrial equipment distribution sector is seeking an experienced Finance professional who is looking to broaden their role into overall business and operational management with the potential to take ownership of the overall business operations over time.
• The successful candidate will retain responsibility for key financial functions, including financial reporting, P&L, cash flow, stock costing and pricing, while taking greater ownership of stock control, purchasing and day-to-day operational processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee financial reporting, P&L, cash flow, budgeting and financial performance
• Manage stock costing, pricing, price lists and quarterly stocktakes
• Oversee stock management, purchasing, supplier negotiations, freight logistics and inventory planning
• Monitor foreign exchange movements and their impact on costs and margins
• Oversee administrative functions, sales and service reporting, and CRM systems
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation and new technologies
• Manage escalated customer disputes, warranty issues and regulatory submissions
• Ensure effective operational controls and continuity of key business functions
• Support business expansion and overall operational performance

Minimum Requirements:

• Relevant financial qualification
• Approximately 5–6 years' relevant financial management experience
• Strong understanding of P&L, cash flow, costing and financial reporting
• Exposure to stock control, purchasing, supplier management and operational processes
• Strong analytical, commercial and problem-solving skills
• Hands-on, systems-oriented approach with an interest in process improvement and technology
