Financial Accountant – Administration, Projects & Tax - Malelane at RCL Foods

• The incumbent will provide accounting, management and administration support to the Finance and Commercial Teams and ad-hoc projects support to the Sugar Division, and assist with the Tax compliance function ito Income Tax and VAT.

Minimum Requirements    

• B.Com Degree with Tax and Accounting as main subjects coupled with at least 3 years’ experience.
• Completed Articles with Income Tax and VAT experience.
• Advanced MS Excel and working experience on SAP is essential.
• In depth knowledge of PowerPoint and Presentations.
• Must be able to identify and implement innovations, particularly those that improve system utilization, financial compliance, and profitability.
• Demonstrated success in managing projects relating to superior performance and continuous improvement.
• The ability to pay attention to detail and accuracy is critical to this position.
• Must be an action-orientated individual, self-starter, assertive and with good communication skills.
• Ability to develop customer service obsession.
• To be considered for appointment, candidate MUST be a South African citizen.

Duties & Responsibilities    

To provide accounting, management and administration support to the Finance and Commercial Teams and ad-hoc projects support to the Sugar Division.

• Assist with the Tax compliance function ito Income Tax and VAT.
• Perform financial and commercial finance projects support related to the Sugar business, JV’s and Associates.
• Ensure that assigned and agreed strategic targets are operationalized and achieved.
• Analyse/implement controls and processes.
• Ad hoc functions to support the Finance and Commercial Executives when required.
• Review GL recons and collate information in preparation for Tax and VAT Returns.
• Provide support for Audit queries and finalisation of annual external audit.
• Project assistance for Process Excellence Team.
• Preparation of Commercial and Finance presentations.
• Assist Commercial Finance with preparation and collating of annual insurance declaration and claims information.
• Assist Commercial and Finance with benchmarking when required.
• Assist with Income Tax and VAT audits from SARS and reporting thereof.
• Oversee and coordinate general stock takes including auditors.
• Assistance and action to resolve Internal Audit findings in the Sugar Group.
