Financial Accountant -Hammarsdale at Dixie Recruitment

Job Description

• Fast-paced FMCG concern is looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to ensure 100% accuracy of the trial balance and 100% compliance to reporting deadlines.

Key Performance Areas

Financial Reporting

• Reconcile all balance sheet accounts monthly to the general ledger and/or subledgers, with supporting documentation
• Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register to the general ledger
• Ensure correct income statement allocations and explain month-to-month variances
• Submit monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports within Group deadlines and in line with reporting standards and Group accounting policies.

ERP & Systems

• Maintain working knowledge of Dynamics 365 Business Central and Vena Solutions.

Statutory Compliance & Controls

• Ensure annual audits are completed within Group deadlines and support resolution of audit findings.
• Adhere to internal financial controls and policies and assist with improving, testing and documenting controls.

General Finance Support

• Assist with stock counts, ad hoc reporting and analysis, and other Finance team requirements as directed.

Qualifications & Experience

• Completed BCom (Accounting), BCompt and/or SAIPA.
• Preferably completed articles with an auditing and accounting firm
• 3–5 years’ experience in a similar commercial role
• Current knowledge of IFRS / IFRS for SMEs,  VAT and Income Tax legislation
