Responsibilities

• Reports and Budgets - Collating, preparing and interpreting financial reports, budgets, accounts, commentaries and statements.
• Strategic Analysis - Undertaking strategic analysis and assisting with strategic planning.
• Producing long-term Business Plans - Assist in producing long-term business plans.
• Research Factors affecting performance - Undertaking research into pricing, competitors and factors affecting financial performances.
• Controlling income, cash flow and expenditure - Control income, cash flows and expenditure daily.
• Managing Budgets - Proper management of budgets.
• Development and management of Financial Systems and Models - Ensure the development and management of proper financial systems and models.
• Risk Management - Ensure the carry out of business modelling and risk assessments
• Staff Supervision - Staff supervision to be conducted daily.
• Liaison - Effective liaison with management, staff and clients

Requirements

Self-starter who is able to get stuck into the detail

• Highly analytical and able to understand the principles of fixed income capital markets
• Detail orientated
• Solution and goal orientated
• Deadline driven and flexible
• Competent in MS Excel

Qualifications and experience

• Accounting Qualification CA(SA), ACA
• Ideally 5 years+ in a financial accounting role
• Strong Tax knowledge
• Experience in consolidations
• Experience in preparing financial statements
• Knowledge of Sage
