Financial Advisor/Planner at Spartan

Job Description

As financial planner, you will analyse personal asset and liability statements of entrepreneurs and to a degree the financial statements of multiple SMEs in South Africa across various industry sectors with the aim of writing up the life insurance application.

The candidate will be expected to:

• Engage and interview the entrepreneurs
• Prepare records of advice 
• Use inhouse and external rating tools to supplement analysis and applications
• Prepare multiple quotes based on assessment and input of the credit analysis team
• Ensure the applications are approved by the legal and compliance team
• Mine our database to exploit new life assurance opportunities
• Promote and reinforce the role of Spartan as the financier to SMEs, constantly improving relationships with entrepreneurs.

 Required Qualifications

• Degree in Commerce
• RE 5 qualification

 Required Disposition

• A keen interest in SMEs, impact investing and socio-economic growth
• Someone who wants to contribute to South Africa

  Desired Skills and Experience

• Preferably 3 years’ relevant work experience in financial planning
• Ability to take initiative, learn quickly and strive for results
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Strong team player
• Analytical mind, organized, attention to details
• Project management skills
• Techno savvy
