Fitter and Turner

- Qualification Higher National Certificate , Matric

- Job Field Engineering / Technical
Requirements
- Grade 12 /STD 10 (NQF 4) Essential
- Recognised relevant Trade Qualification (Section 13/26D) OR proof of recognised completed apprenticeship contract (completed by means of effluxion of time) NTC 2 (relevant Trade Theory, specialised courses) (desirable)
- Computer Literacy (MS Office)
KPA's
- Manufacture and reproduce mechanical parts in a safe and efficient manner
- Diagnose and repair faults on equipment and machinery during production / operation
- Develop new tooling or modify existing tooling when required
- Design basic mechanical components
- Identify engineering materials, their characteristics and applications and common metal tests used in engineering
- Refurbish/overhaul machines
