The forklift operator is responsible for operating a forklift to load and unload products efficiently. Maintaining safety and awareness while operating a forklift. This position reports directly to the Receiving Supervisor and will be required to work different shifts across trading and non-trading hours, including Sundays and Public Holiday.

What you'll do

This is a list of tasks that you will be responsible for doing on your days at work.

• Loading and unloading of vehicles daily
• Moving of stock using a forklift
• Complete daily forklift checklist before operating the machine
• Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
• Report any forklift faults
• Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and rest of the team.
• Comply with all health & safety standards
• Demonstrating a positive and engaged attitude even when performing routine tasks repeatedly, which contributes to a productive and motivated work environment.
• Having a solid understanding of various types of fruits and vegetables, their handling requirements, and proper storage techniques, which enhances the efficiency and accuracy of stock movement.
• Approaching work with optimism and a can-do attitude
• Effectively managing tasks and maintaining focus during busy periods or time-sensitive situations
• Exercising precision and carefulness in all tasks

Requirements

• English

• Valid forklift license
• Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Forklift driver in a FMCG environment
