Key Skills and Requirements: 

• Completed Matric or N3
• Trade Tested Forklift Technician or Diesel Mechanic 
• 3+ years post trade work experience with proven experience working on forklifts and/or earthmoving equipment
• Valid code 08 drivers' license - code 10 preferred
• Valid forklift license - highly advantageous
• Knowledge of electronics and electrical components
• Ability to read and interpret wiring circuit diagrams
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
• Willingness to work on standby and attend to after-hours breakdowns

Duties and Responsibilitie:  

• Attend to breakdowns, including after-hours call outs and standby duties
• Service, repair and maintain electrical, gas and diesel-powered equipment
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults efficiently 
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and attention to detail
• Assisting with duties outside of the technical scope when required to ensure smooth fleet operations
• Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
