Front-End Developer at WBWR

Role Overview

• WBWR's tech department focuses on building web applications, mobile applications and headless e-commerce solutions with Shopify. Our stack consists of Javascript, Typescript, NodeJS, React, React Native, NextJS, Remix and VueJS utilising RESTful and GraphQL APIs to create performant applications.
• As one of our developers, you'll be working closely with a team of tech enthusiasts, making a substantial impact on digital experiences for our clients and creating unique user-centric solutions.

Who We Are Looking For

• We're looking for a front-end developer who is passionate about all things tech with a keen interest in staying abreast with all the latest technology.
• You will be working on large well-known brands developing the solutions of tomorrow and creating unique digital experiences.
• Clean, maintainable and understandable code is a priority here at WBWR. This is a great opportunity to work with a team that is passionate about creating unique solutions and solving problems in creative ways while having fun along the way.
• You will be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams including, digital marketers, UX / UI designers, project managers and the rest of the development team on various projects.

Skills Required

• Relevant degree, diploma or equivalent work experience and portfolio
• Have 3+ years of web development experience
• Strong understanding of JavaScript, TypeScript, Tailwind and React.
• Good understanding of component-based architectures.
• Experience or good understanding of Next.js, Remix or similar frameworks.
• Experience working with Figma is advantageous
• Experience with version control systems such as Git and platforms such as GitHub
• High level of attention to detail and ability to write clean quality code
• Experience with Shopify or other e-commerce platforms advantageous
• Effective communication and enjoying a culture of collaboration and team spirit
• Are lifelong learners, constantly on the path to self-improvement and growth

Key Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality web and mobile applications using a project-based tech stack.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI designers, digital marketers, and project managers.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, ensuring top-notch quality in every project.
• Consistently replicate design to code with responsiveness in mind.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in web technologies and continuously enhance your skills.
• Contribute to team meetings with innovative ideas and creative problem-solving approaches.
• Work on e-commerce solutions, with a focus on performance and user experience.
• Maintain and improve existing codebases, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews, maintaining high standards of code quality and best practices.
• Be proactive in identifying and troubleshooting software issues and inefficiencies.
