Funding Executive - JHB at CA Financial Appointments

Job Description

• We are currently seeking an experienced Funding Executive for our client within the financial services space. The successful candidate will have proven experience and ability in raising funds and must be open to travelling for work to meet with potential investors.

Responsibilities:

• Cultivate connections with new funding investors and sustain and enhance existing relationships as needed.
• Conduct regular "road shows" and investor presentations with the aim of securing funding in accordance with specific goals.
• Oversee the preparation of all necessary information for potential funders, including managing due diligence needs.
• Maintain precise records of all funding necessities for the Group by engaging regularly with Executive Management. This involves creating and updating financial models.
• Ensure the accuracy and currency of general investor materials, such as fact sheets, company brochures, prospectuses, etc.to authentically represent the Group's standing.

Requirements:

• 10 years relevant working experience.
• CFA, MBA, CA(SA) or other suitable academic qualification is essential.
• Ideally from a boutique Corporate Finance/Advisory Firm or an audit firm on the advisory side
• Candidates should have proven experience and ability in raising funds – ideally in a South African, African and international context.
• Experience and ability to understand and undertake financial modeling, and the preparation of necessary information and documentation.
• Experience in fund raising for the microfinance industry will be advantageous.
• An excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
• Established negotiation skills and strong presentation skills

Further requirements:

• Must be willing to travel within Africa and Internationally.
