Description

• This role exists to assist in the general activities on site.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with immediate Supervisor to achieve operational targets.
• Perform inspections on designated area of responsibility every day.
• Plan and manage tailings material on site and at depositing areas.
• Extend and connect pipelines.
• Open and close valves in line with operational requirements.
• Follow work instructions given by immediate Supervisor for any specific task in line with operational requirements.
• Assist with problem-solving on operational challenges and report deviations to immediate Supervisor.
• Perform Mud Guard duties, i.e. monitor and control the levels of tailings dam and ensure integrity of the dam.
• Ensure good housekeeping at all times.
• Adhere to all safety rules and regulations as per all safety legislation and company procedures.
• Attend toolbox talks or meetings.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Grade 12 Certificate.

EXPERIENCE

• A minimum of one years’ relevant experience.

SKILLS, QUALITIES AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

• Good communication skills (verbal and written).
• Good planning and organising.
• Teamwork and observant.
• Good listening skills.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must pass company and/or client criminal screening processes.
• Must be physically, mentally and medically fit as per company and/or client standards.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts as required.
• Availability to work overtime when necessary.
