To provide general labour support on construction, maintenance, industrial, and project sites while safely performing duties at elevated work areas. The General Worker will assist skilled personnel, maintain housekeeping standards, and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, especially when working at heights.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with general site preparation and housekeeping.
Load, unload, move, and store materials, tools, and equipment.
Assist artisans, technicians, and supervisors with daily tasks.
Work safely at heights using approved fall protection equipment.
Inspect and maintain basic tools and equipment before use.
Assist with erecting, dismantling, and moving equipment.
Clean work areas and dispose of waste according to site procedures.
Follow supervisor instructions efficiently.
Adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) policies.
Report hazards, unsafe conditions, and damaged equipment immediately.
Attend toolbox talks and safety meetings.
Wear and maintain required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12.
Updated CV with supporting documents
Valid Working at Heights Certificate (mandatory).
Previous experience in construction, manufacturing and maintenance environments advantageous.
Medically fit to work at heights.
Good physical fitness and ability for manual labour.
Able to work overtime, weekends, and shifts when required.
