As the Global Data Governance Specialist, you will…
Ensures global processes are followed and leverage global tools to govern data in a way that is consistent and standardized.
Implement and maintain data governance strategies, including enforcement of policies, guidelines, standard procedures, and ensuring proper communications.
Assist in data management, governance, and data quality of master data requirements for various functions to ensure master data integrity across the organization.
Drive data quality by creating reports/metrics to ascertain data quality and integrity; research, analyse and root cause identification of data errors and providing key design input for application functionality.
Collaborate effectively with Cross-Functional Teams to ensure the execution of cross-functional projects related to data governance.
Be a subject matter expert with the ability to facilitate Training and Communication to ensure employee awareness and understanding of data governance policies.
About You.
Tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum of 2-5 years’ experience with data management/governance, including but not limited to data governance, master data management, data protection, and/or data quality.
Experience working in SAP for master data management (Customer, Product and Vendor) is not negotiable.
Experience working with PIM and Data Catalogue (Alation) / Data Governance / MDM technologies and systems is required.
Experience in CPG or food and beverage industry is preferred.
Ability to harmonize systems, processes, and/or data across business areas and functions.
Ability to develop and implement data governance policies and standards and document solutions in support of standards and best practices.
Build data catalogues and business glossaries.
Demonstrated track record of producing work that is highly accurate, demonstrate attention to detail, and reflect well on the organization.
Experienced in participating or leading organizational change management initiatives.
Demonstrate analytical and interpretation skills.
Ability to communicate effectively across teams.
Demonstrate the ability to influence and foster collaborative relationships with all teams.
Demonstrate critical thinking that leads to process improvements that benefits the organization.
