Global HSSE Reporting and Data Analytics Specialist
Implement strategic data analysis for the HSSE function and sustainability, focusing on collecting, analysing, and reporting health, safety, security, and environmental data with a specialised emphasis on GHG accounting and CSRD compliance.
Generate and enhance comprehensive reports on health, safety, security, and environmental data, in line with the Global HSSE Strategy, GHG reporting standards and CSRD guidelines. Develop and maintain internal GHG Data Management Guidelines and public documentation on preparation and calculation methodologies.
Maintain expertise in GHG accounting, global reporting standards such as CSRD, and best practices to ensure that reporting meets CSRD and GHG Reporting Standard requirements and aligns with other frameworks such as GRI, TCFD, and SASB (where applicable).
Ensure that compliance and governance are rigorously applied across all HSSE, GHG, and sustainability data. Oversee the accurate input of environmental sustainability data for external agencies and compliance reports, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and supporting both internal and external audits.
Serve as the system administrator for HSSE tools and systems that support data and information management. - Capture all GHG inventory data in a central repository and manage the solution and evaluate and implement software and tools for data management and reporting (where required).
Collaborate with Global HSSE, Regional Teams, digitisation teams, and other SMEs to define data strategies and develop real-time dashboards and reports. Support environmental sustainability data input for external agencies and compliance reports as requested and in collaboration with the Puma Energy ESG Team. Guide cross-functional teams to ensure consistent data collection and reporting. Provide support and training to operational and functional teams for data collection and analysis, where required.
Support the development and implementation of Puma Energy’s HSSE and Sustainability Strategy and goals by providing insights and recommendations based on data analysis. Identify areas for improvement in sustainability and HSSE reporting processes. Implement best practices to enhance data management and reporting quality. Advise on evolving carbon accounting practices in alignment with Puma Energy’s sustainability strategies and plans.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure data accuracy and reliability. Address audit findings and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Participate in external forums to stay informed about industry advancements.
Experience:
5 - 10 year’s practical experience in a HSSE systems, governance, assurance or operational role, with focus on reporting, analytics and GHG Emission data management, ideally within the Oil and Gas, Construction, Aviation and/or other high-risk industries;
Experience in data management principles and practices, including data management technologies;
Experience and expertise in rigorously and effectively examining large quantities of data to derive insights from. Prior experience in measuring leading and lagging indicators at the macro and micro level utilising quantitative and qualitative analysis;
Understanding of the HSSE legislative frameworks across global jurisdictions;
Comprehensive understanding of GHG Emissions Reporting Standards and Guidelines to clearly and concisely communicate requirements;
Minimum qualification in Greenhouse Gas Emission Accounting (E.g. Greenhouse Gas Practitioner) preferred;
Tertiary qualifications in health, safety and/or environment or equivalent discipline;
Experience with international standards ISO 45001, ISO 45003, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO14064 and ISO14067.
