An opportunity is available for an experienced and highly skilled Goldsmith to join an established fine jewellery manufacturing workshop.
The successful candidate will be a precise, quality-driven craftsperson with proven experience manufacturing bespoke diamond and gemstone jewellery. This position requires exceptional technical ability, attention to detail and pride in producing premium jewellery to an exacting standard.
Key Responsibilities
Clean and finish jewellery castings from start to completion.
Manufacture and assemble bespoke fine jewellery pieces and components.
Prepare jewellery components for polishing and stone setting.
Perform complex jewellery repairs, resizing, rebuilding and remodelling.
Work confidently and accurately with gold and platinum.
Polish and plate completed jewellery pieces.
Operate a laser welder confidently and accurately.
Interpret CAD designs and technical jewellery drawings.
Ensure all work meets the required quality and design specifications.
Assist with workshop quality control.
Maintain consistently high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
Complete assigned work accurately within agreed production deadlines.
Maintain a clean, organised and professional workshop environment.
Minimum Requirements
A minimum of three years’ experience as a Goldsmith within a jewellery manufacturing environment.
Proven experience manufacturing bespoke or custom fine jewellery.
Strong soldering, assembly, finishing, polishing and jewellery repair skills.
Practical experience working with both gold and platinum.
Experience manufacturing jewellery containing natural diamonds, lab-grown diamonds and gemstones.
Ability to interpret CAD designs and technical drawings accurately.
Confident and competent in the operation of a laser welder.
Excellent workmanship and exceptional attention to detail.
Reliable, productive and able to work within manufacturing deadlines.
Able to work independently while contributing positively to a workshop team.
A genuine passion for fine jewellery manufacturing and premium craftsmanship.
