Minimum Requirements

Education

• BCom/LLB or
• BCom / BTech Internal Audit or
• BCom / BTech Risk Management or
• Equivalent (NQF level 7)

Knowledge and Skills:

• An understanding and knowledge of the regulatory requirements within the insurance industry (PF Act, FAIS, FICA, LTIA, PPR, POPIA)
• Computer literate in MS Office which includes Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
• Proficient in the English language.
• Good attention to detail
• Self-directed and can work independently.
• Places emphasis on the quality of their work.
• Efficient time management and can work to meet deadlines.
• A team-player who collaborates to get things done.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor compliance with applicable legislation and internal requirements
• Research and gather information on new legislation
• Analyse proposed new legislation and provide input/feedback
• Receiving, researching, and managing internal and external stakeholder queries.
• Assist with compliance and risk reporting, resolution and tracking of breaches and other compliance and regulatory issues.
• Assist with incident reporting, to reduce compliance risks on legislative requireme
• Assist in developing, promoting, implementing and maintaining compliance standards and procedures to promote a compliance culture.
• Stay abreast of legislative developments and implement recommendations as per the Group compliance standards
• Assist with the development, monitoring and implementation of various B-BBEE initiatives in Ownership, Management Control, Skills Development, Enterprise and Supplier Development and Socio-Economic Development elements to achieve compliance with the FSC Code of good conduct
• Assist with the preparing and submitting of all reports for B-BBEE planning, development and management reporting.
• Assist stakeholders with the EE Plan to the Department of Labour, Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) and Annual Training Report (ATR) to align to FCS targets.
• Guide and assist BU’s with the collation of relevant or required verification documentation and ensure adherence to all legislative requirements for the annual B-BBEE rating processes
• Manage relationships and service delivery of external B-BBEE partners and internal stakeholders.
• General administrative duties.
