    Graduate Trainee - Graphic Design, Johannesburg

    Overview 

    • You will learn about WFP and its culture through real-life work experience and we will provide you on-the-job training and performance feedback to kick-start your professional career.

     Learning & Development:

     STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Education:  An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in any of the following disciplines: Graphic Design, Digital Design, Visual Communication, or related field.
    • Qualification's must have been obtained within the previous year (2022) or current year (2023) with an academic average of at least 75%.

    • Language:  Fluency in both oral and written communication in the UN language in use at the duty station (English).  Knowledge of French and/or Portuguese will be an added advantage.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

    • Design, translate, and roll-out both the WFP corporate and campaign-related visual identities for internal and external presentations, printing, and publishing purposes.
    • Ensure that all visual materials are unified, consistent, attractive, and professionally represent the WFP brand.
    • Design and Finish Artwork Conceptualize, design, and implement design solutions in line with the WFP Corporate identity and brand 
    •  Interpret creative briefs and develop supporting creative material 
    •  Use DTP software to produce or refine artwork and designs for presentations, publication, and printing 
    •  Ensure professional formatting fit for purpose (e.g., such as the size and style of type, column width and spacing) 
    •  Help to design professional presentations and report packs including graphics such as diagrams, charts, and tables 
    •  Maintain updated corporate marketing collateral
    • Preparation for Presentations, Publication and Printing. 
    • Use publishing technologies (such as HTML) to convert documents to an internet-ready format. 
    • Use software and other relevant technology to ensure that all visual materials are ready and in the relevant format .
    • Draw new die-cuts when required. 
    • Complete layout and typesetting of designs. 
    • Perform other related duties as required
