    Graduate Trainee - Human Resources, Johannesburg

    Overview 

    • You will learn about WFP and its culture through real-life work experience and we will provide you on-the-job training and performance feedback to kick-start your professional career.
    • Through this experience, you will develop new skills and make new connections that very well might provide professional references for you someday. 

    Learning & Development:

    • You will work with professional teams and receive formal training and ongoing coaching. The Graduate Trainee will have access to an industry leading learning platforms.  

    Networking opportunities:

    • You will get the chance to enrich your skills and work with people from different nationalities.  Depending on available opportunities Graduate Trainees may travel to other locations for learning and exposure.

    STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Education: An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in the following disciplines: Human Resources, Human Sciences (Psychology, Sociology), Business Administration or related fields.
    • Qualification's must have been obtained within the previous year (2022) or current year (2023) with an academic average of at least 75%.   
    • The undergraduate or postgraduate qualification must be recognised by https://www.whed.net/home.php)
    • Language:  Fluency in both oral and written communication in the UN language in use at the duty station (English).  Knowledge of French and/or Portuguese will be an added advantage.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

    • Participate in recruitment and selection processes from identifying relevant sourcing, posting vacancies, CV screenings, long listing, tests setting and report writing.
    • Support the employer brand activation initiatives and visibility.
    • Support new employees onboarding and develop one workplace culture initiative.
    • Participate in learning initiatives preparation and review.
    • Define and lead one HR project from gap identification to project implementation.
    • Support contract management and local payroll operations  
    • Perform other related duties as required.
