Graduate Trainee - Wellness, Johannesburg at World Food Programme

Overview

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:  

• An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in any of the following disciplines: Social Work, Public Health, Nursing, Medicine, Counselling or related field.
• Qualification's must have been obtained within the previous year (2022) or current year (2023) with an academic average of at least 75%.   
• The undergraduate or postgraduate qualification must be recognised by https://www.whed.net/home.php)
• Language:  Fluency in both oral and written communication in the UN language in use at the duty station (English).  Knowledge of French and/or Portuguese will be an added advantage.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

• Support the dissemination of the Global Health  Survey among Regional Bureau Country Offices and developing appropriate action plans to help address risks identified in the survey
• Working with Technology Unit to support in the development of  tracking systems for the use of In-Body Machines and the WFP indoor gym. 
• Creation of targeted awareness health and wellness messages to the staff in the country offices and regional bureau.
• Provision of destination specific travel advise as per organization policy.
• Support the implementation of the wellness strategy and annual workplan.
• Provide health related support and advise to the staff in relation to the existing wellness framework.
• Maintain a healthy relationship with staff in provision of support in regards to health and wellness and tracking of staff concerns and wellness programs implemented. 
• Participate in presentations  to employees in the RBJ region on topics pertaining to resilience.
• Draft reports, take notes and handle  wellness related correspondence as delegated
• Perform other related duties as required.
