Group Plant Fitter at Gold One Group Limited

Job specification

• Grade 11 or equivalent qualification
• Recognised Trade Certificate as a Fitter and Turner (Section 13 or Section 26D).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience working in an underground mining operation.
• Experience and knowledge working in a grout plant is essential
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proactive and safety-conscious attitude.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Must be willing to work shifts and overtime as required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and car.
• South African Citizenship
• Clear Criminal Record
• Declared medically fit by our OMP

 Responsibilities

• The candidate must be self-driven and disciplined
• Conduct preventative and breakdown maintenance on pumps, valves, mixers, compressors, and piping systems.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical faults and failures on plant equipment.
• Maintain equipment logs and complete job cards accurately and on time.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality standards.
• Participate in plant shutdowns and overhauls as required.
• Collaborate with plant operators and engineers to ensure smooth operations.
• Perform all Health and Safety-related duties in general on the Mine as per Gold One Group Limited standards
• Adhere to MHSA standards & Gold1’s safety motto: “Nothing is so important that it cannot be done safely.”
