An exciting leadership opportunity has arisen for a Head of Cybersecurity Business to drive the growth and success of a leading cybersecurity distribution business in South Africa. This strategic role is responsible for managing vendor relationships, overseeing the direction of the cybersecurity portfolio, and leading the business towards significant growth in an ever-evolving cybersecurity landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: Lead the development and execution of the strategic plan for the cybersecurity distribution business in South Africa.
Vendor & Channel Relationships: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with top cybersecurity vendors and channel partners.
Business Expansion: Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities to expand the cybersecurity product portfolio and stay ahead of market trends.
Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a high-performance team across sales, technical, and marketing functions to exceed revenue and growth targets.
Market Analysis: Monitor and analyze industry trends and competitor activities to inform business strategies and adapt to market changes.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with local regulations and industry standards within the cybersecurity distribution space.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other business units to develop integrated solutions that meet customer needs and market demands.
Financial Oversight: Oversee the financial performance of the cybersecurity business unit, ensuring accurate budgeting, forecasting, and meeting growth targets.
Qualifications & Experience:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
8+ years of experience in the IT distribution or cybersecurity industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity technologies, trends, and the South African market landscape.
Proven success in business development, sales leadership, and vendor management.
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to drive strategic business growth in a competitive market.
