REQUIREMENTS :

• Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent, Basic R425 qualification (i.e. Diploma / Degree in Nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse and registration/qualification as a Midwife or Accoucheur.
• Post Basic qualification in Nursing Education registered with the SANC minimum of nine (9) years appropriate/recognizable nursing experience after registration as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council.
• A minimum of five (5) years of the above period must be appropriate / recognizable experience in the Nursing Education.
• Registration with the South African Nursing Council 2026.
• Plus, Unendorsed valid Code EB driver’s licence.
• Computer Literate.

Knowledge, Skills, Training and Competencies Required:

• In depth knowledge of the relevant legislation, Acts, Prescripts and Policy Frameworks within the area of operation.
• Have excellent communication skills (written & verbal) and presentation skills.
• In depth knowledge of nursing education programs and curriculum.
• Proficiency in teaching and assessment in Nursing Education including evaluation approaches.
• Knowledge of policy development, interpretation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
• Sound conflict management and decision making / problem solving skills.
• Willingness to travel.
• Good research and analytical skills.
• Good managerial and interpersonal skills.

DUTIES :

• Develop a composite clinical placement for all students / programs in the campus.
• Manage monthly students’ placement in clinical sites.
• Manage clinical learning exposure to students between college and clinical areas.
• Develop accompaniment schedules and manage accompaniment of students.
• Manage clinical assessments / evaluations of students.
• Develop and ensure implementation of quality assurance programme.
• Supervise staff and monitor students.
• Participate in campus management.
