• We are currently recruiting for a new Group Head of Finance to join our team at Optimi. We are looking for a highly intelligent individual, with big-4 audit background and management experience in a customer-facing operational company. The person must have a strong interest in driving business growth and innovation, a motivated self-starter with high energy levels and good people skills. The position is part of a highly energetic team in a fast-paced and high-growth environment, reporting to the Group CFO. Optimi is working towards providing accessible learning solutions in SA and globally.

Requirements:

• CA(SA) qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years’ post-article management experience in a customer-facing operational company.
• Strong problem solver, with people leadership skills.
• Fluent in English.

Duties:

• Lead Group Finance function, including all aspects related to accounting, debtors & creditors, and treasury.
• Full IFRS reporting to Group stakeholders and shareholders.
• Managing the team of finance personnel, including training and performance management.
• Managing external auditors for Group and subsidiaries.
• Ensuring best practices in finance processes and systems.
• Drive business process automation.
