• Are you a bold, visionary marketing leader who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment? Miladys, one of South Africa's most loved fashion brands and part of the MR Price Group, is looking for an exceptional Head of Marketing to shape and drive our brand into the future.

Responsibilities
You will take full ownership of the marketing function, leading a team of 6 direct reports and collaborating across the broader Mr Price Group ecosystem. Your key areas of accountability will include:

• Strategy - Formulate, lead and measure the implementation of the Marketing strategy. Contribute to overall Company strategy and ensure clear communication and understanding throughout the business.
• Brand Communication & Customer Experience - Develop and implement an integrated brand communication strategy encompassing above-the-line, below-the-line, digital, social, PR, promotions and advertising.
• Visual Brand Experience - Lead the brand visual strategy including world-class seasonal window displays, in-store concepts and visual merchandising, ensuring seamless operational execution.
• Customer Centricity - Champion the customer throughout the business, ensuring Brand DNA and all communications are regularly updated and consistently reflect a customer-first culture.
• Customer Relationship Management - Collaborate with Mr Price Money and Operations to develop and implement a segmented credit and club communication strategy, driving new account and club targets.
• Research & Insights - Evaluate and monitor local and international retail and consumer market trends and competitor activity. Brief, analyse and deliver actionable customer insights to key stakeholders.
• People Leadership - Lead and inspire the Marketing team to achieve KPIs and strategy. Drive training, coaching, talent management, succession planning and a high-performance culture.
• Financial Management - Oversee a significant marketing overhead budget with accountability for financial planning and budgeting discipline.

Qualifications

• You are a strategic, commercially minded marketing leader with a passion for brand building and a deep understanding of the retail landscape. 

You bring:

• A relevant tertiary qualification preferably Post-Graduate Degree (marketing-related).
• 8 years relevant experience, of which 5 years in a senior/management role.
• Proven expertise in marketing strategy, social and digital marketing, and brand management
• Strong financial acumen - financial planning, budgeting and cost management
• Solid people management skills with experience in talent development and succession planning
• In-depth retail knowledge and market intelligence capability
• Exceptional analytical ability and research interpretation skills
• Outstanding communication and leadership skills
• Proficiency in internal systems and computer literacy
• Commercial acumen and a thorough understanding of basic merchandise management
