Head of Product

A rapidly growing African Fintech Startup, based in Cape Town, has a spot for a world class product enthusiast to head up the Product Team. This will ideally be someone who is passionate about the development and management of a team, and also someone with experience successfully managing different products simultaneously.

You will be doing the following:

• Leading and mentoring 3 Product Managers
• Product planning
• Own the development of the product roadmap and deal closely with Executives and other stakeholders on this
• Managing the full product lifecycle from end to end
• Work closely with sales and support teams to identify growth opportunities
• Working with design and development teams on sprint scheduling and functionality testing.

The ideal person will have:

• Experience in a startup- non-negotiable, working in a fast-growing team of Developers, Product Managers and Designers
• Analytical skills, and experience using tools like Mixpanel and Google Analytics
• Ability to communicate a clear vision and strategy, inspiring the team to reach business goals

• Strong relationship building skills

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or IT
• MBA highly preferable but not a must
• Experience building successful products in Payments, Financial Services or Billing space
