Job Description

The Role:  As the Head of Risk and Trading you will be at the heart of our Sports and Live Games offerings, your portfolio will be to manage our full MTS and other products, ensure we are competitive in the market, don’t miss a beat and deliver a World class product to our players. You will also Head up the Risk portfolio and build out a best-in-class risk framework and operational procedures. As a member of Senior Management, you will participate in the overall strategy and direction of the business as we grow through multiple markets.

Here is what you will be doing (the important stuff)
Conduct competitor research and maintain our edge over the market
Recruit and manage a team of Traders and Risk Officers through detailed Policies and SOPs
Develop a comprehensive Trading/Limits strategy and continuously adapt and improve it
Monitor live action and timeously identify potVIP, advantage, syndicate and fraudulent play
Carry out detailed trading performance analysis at market level and manage optimization of price and position
Monitor and assess bonus performance against targets and key ratios
Monitor and report on VIP activity, build out VIP sports long term margin business cases
Continually collaborate with the Central Trading teams and vendors and escalate and resolve queries as required
Provide insight and focus to the Marketing team through detailed reporting and collaboration  

Qualifications

The essentials:

• Matric / Grade 12 or higher (essential)

• 5 Years' experience in an online Sports Trading environment

• Advanced level of knowledge in Bookmaking theory and Sports Betting

• Risk Analysis experience at a Senior level

• Knowledge of the South African regulatory framework

• Prior Senior Management experience

Some desirables: 

• Prior Pan African experience

• Detailed understanding of Casino product

• Experience in VIP services and bonusing

• In depth knowledge of the math's driving Bonusing and Retention strategy

• Knowledge of enterprise level Compliance and best practice
