Industrial Engineer at DHL Supply Chain

Key Accountabilities:

• Ensure adherence to the company’s rules and regulations as documented in the company’s disciplinary policy.
• Ensure safe work practices as defined during induction and Health & Safety training and awareness campaigns.
• Implement and update man assignments according to company and/or customer requirements.
• Ensure adherence to documented company processes and related documentation.
• Create and update standard operating sheets for the business unit in line with company standards.
• Conduct ergonomic audits and implement process improvement as required.
• Ensure support and attendance in GEMBA processes, RFQ’s and operational struggle points where required.
• Plan material flow for parts.
• Determine resource requirements where required.
• Ensure planned headcount, MHE and other resources for the area of responsibility is accurate.
• Ensure all applicable documentation is registered on the quality system.
• Accountable for setting up standardized processes for the business unit.
• Identify waste in processes and implement methods to reduce or eliminate nonvalue adding activities.
• Pursue standardization, implementation, and improvement of logistics process.
• Any other reasonable and executable task within your vocational ability assigned by Superior.

Qualifications, Experience & Attributes:

• Grade 12/Matric (English & Mathematics/Math Literacy)
• National Diploma: Industrial Engineering
• P1 & P2 Practical Completed
• MTM UAS & MTM Logistics
• Proficient software skills (MS Word, MS Excel)
• Ability to analyze information, adapt and respond to change and cope with setbacks and pressure.
• Ability to decide and initiate action.
