    Insight Specialist

    ROLE PURPOSE

    • To use all available data sources to develop client and sales insights thus enabling all stakeholders in MDS to fully comprehend, understand and make sense of the current situation within the unfolding strategic context.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND WORK OUTPUTS

    Internal Processes: Business Insights

    • Gather, analyze, spot, describe and make sense of key trends impacting the IFAs, MDS and the Product House ecosystem.
    • Create business insights that will proactively steer management decision making to achieve strategic objectives.
    • In collaboration with the MDS eco system develop a real time management key indicator cockpit and bespoke dashboards for all stakeholders to fully leverage the power of information and insights.
    • Engage regularly with Momentum leadership and MDS by presenting key observations, workshop the findings with leadership and ensure a deep understanding of key levers that will change the business performance in a sustainable way
    • Contribute to data integrity and cleaning activities to increase the quality of data.
    • Produce documentation such as source-to-target-maps, data dictionaries and data models.
    • Determine assumptions, trends, hypotheses and actualities by analyzing data in both the qualitative and quantitative space, using a variety of methodologies and techniques.
    • Drive sense-making and insights based on analysis, by allocating meaning to trends, evidences and facts.
    • Reactively and proactively provide meaningful insights to stakeholders.
    • Develop an in-depth and advanced insights capability and easy to use and understand reporting mechanism Place a specific focus on all key accounts, including trends and key developments.
    • Influence business decisions through insights, observations and findings by closely working with stakeholders, including Product Houses, to understand their challenges and providing plausible solutions and answers to the challenges.
    • Perform analysis for business to give them a better understanding of relevant data/trends/behaviour.
    • Pro-active in suggesting for opportunities as well as making analytical observations on any aspect that would be beneficial to business.

    Client: Relationship Management with Stakeholders

    • Provide authoritative expertise and advice to clients and stakeholders.
    • Build and maintain relationships with clients and internal and external stakeholders.
    • Deliver on service level agreements made with clients and internal and external stakeholders in order to ensure that client expectations are managed
    • Make recommendations to improve client service and fair treatment of clients within area of responsibility.
    • Participate and contribute to a culture which builds rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback and provides exceptional client service.

    EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

    Qualifications:

    • Matric
    • Degree in Actuarial science, Quantitative Analysis, Finance or Mathematical Statistics (essential)

    Experience:

    • 2 - 3years' experience in business insights analysis and reporting within insurance and investment distribution market
    • Analysis and interpretation wisdom
