• Support a culture for innovation and methodology improvements to audit effectiveness consistent with Aurecon’s business needs
• Proactively manage relationships across the Afrika senior management team, co-sourced internal audit teams and with the external auditor and promote transparent delivery of key internal audit messages to key stakeholders. Keep local management abreast of key audit findings and the progress of management action plans
• Deliver, lead and/or manage all planning and fieldwork activities for Afrika audits. Evaluate and make recommendations for improvement with respect to the effectiveness and efficiency of the related function and processes, as well assess compliance with Company policies and external regulations
• Apply prior business and commercial experience to audit issues to ensure optimal commercial outcomes
• Provide risk and control subject matter expertise to key personnel at business units and work with other assurance functions across Afrika to influence the development of a strong culture of appropriate governance and control
• Add value as a net contributor to Aurecon’s risk and control environment through constructive sharing of common themes and solutions to risk and control challenges
