Our client, a global leader in the agriculture industry, is seeking an Internal Audit Manager to enhance audit quality and effectiveness. In this role, you will guide auditors, present key findings and recommendations, and help develop audit plans. Your expertise will ensure compliance, strengthen internal controls, and drive continuous improvement across the organisation.
As an Internal Audit Manager, you will play a crucial role in reviewing and improving the quality of internal audits. You will be responsible for providing guidance to auditors, presenting findings and recommendations, and assisting in developing audit plans. Your role will also involve monitoring progress against these plans, supervising audit teams, defining audit approaches, ensuring all risks are addressed, reviewing planning documents and reports, and performing regular follow-ups on previously reported findings. This role requires a high level of responsibility and commitment.
Review the quality of internal audits performed by the Origin Internal Audit Departments.
Provide guidance to improve the quality of internal audits.
Present findings and recommendations to the Africa Regional Risk & Compliance Services Officer.
Assist in developing origin Audit Universe, Annual Internal Audit plan and the three-year rolling plan.
Monitor progress of origin internal audits against plan.
High level day to day supervision of the origin internal audit teams.
Define the purpose, scope and audit approach of each audit for assigned areas of audit coverage.
Ensure that all risks are addressed for the specific audit engagements.
Review and sign-off of planning, working papers and reports.
Perform monthly follow-ups on previously reported audit findings.
Job Requirements:
Certified Internal Auditor or Chartered Accountant
Proficiency in the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF), Code of Ethics and Standards
Experience in conducting internal audits
Willingness to travel – up to two weeks per month
3+ Years experience managing an internal audit team
