    Network Engineer

    • BIOVAC is one of the leading sterile vaccine manufacturers rooted in Africa, with our core purpose being to "protect life". We are looking to hire a dynamic, passionate, confident, proactive and meticulous Network Engineer to join a goal-oriented team

    QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:

    Required:

    • Bachelors Degree or National Diploma in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field
    • CompTIA Network+
    • Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE) Level 1–3 or equivalent networking certification

    Preferred:

    • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)

    Experience needed to deliver the role seamlessly:

    • 5–10 years in networking experience Forti hardware
    • Hands-on experience with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and software configurations.
    • Strong understanding of OT environment in production industry
    • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to respond to network incidents and assist in root cause analysis.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Ability to manage and hold third party Service providers accountable.

    Preferred:

    • Working knowledge of Pharmaceutical Manufacturing related legislation
    • At least 3 years experience at supervisor level

    KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:

    Core Technical Delivery:

    • Technical Support: The primary responsibility of the IT Network Engineer is to provide expert-level technical support to end-users and Business, including troubleshooting network problems, and ensuring they are resolved as well as putting measures in place to ensure these problems does not re-occur.
    • System Maintenance and Administration: The IT Network Engineer is responsible for maintaining and administering network infrastructure. This includes tasks such as installing and configuring software and hardware components, monitoring system performance, conducting routine maintenance, and applying necessary updates and firmware.
    • Leadership and Mentoring: As a Network Engineer, you may be responsible for leading and guiding a team of IT technicians (internal or external). This involves providing guidance, mentoring, and training, assisting them in resolving complex issues, and promoting knowledge sharing within the team.
    • Project Management: In some cases, Network Engineer may take on project management responsibilities. This can involve leading IT infrastructure / network projects, coordinating with stakeholders, managing timelines and resources, and ensuring project goals are met within the specified budget and timeframe.
    • System Security and Data Protection: The Network Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the security of IT systems and protecting sensitive data. This includes implementing security measures, monitoring system vulnerabilities, and conducting regular security audits.

    Support Services

    • Troubleshoot and resolve any network related issues.
    • Helpdesk management and support
    • User support
    • Assist with the close out all departmental quality documents (CAPAs, Deviations and Change Controls)
    • Conduct technology training for new users.
    • Provide support to the IT Infrastructure team.
    • Assist in writing SOPs, manuals, and policies for the department.
    • Provide technical support to users via phone, email, or remote access.
    • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot computer networks.
    • Provide Tier 2 and 3 support.
    • Install, configure, and troubleshoot new software applications on computers and networks.

    Proactive duties

    • System checks and maintenance
    • Perform routine network monitoring and performance benchmarking.
    • Complete special projects as requested.
    • Recommend ways to improve the security and efficiency of the network.
    • Maintain an inventory of hardware and software used in the company's network
    • Monitor system performance to ensure that it is running efficiently.
    • Generate reports on network usage and performance.
    • Assist with the implementation of new technologies.

    Leadership Duties

    • Escalate issues to senior staff as necessary.
    • Project Management
    • Identify and implement Service improvements trough the Biovac landscape.

    Sales Support Lead

    QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:

    Required:

    • Degree in Health Science/Nursing/Sales/Marketing and/or Administration and/or Customer relationship management/Equivalent.
    • Good understanding of the primary health care systems and the extended program on immunisation (EPI)
    • General Understanding of pharmaceuticals, experience, and work knowledge of marketing in pharmaceutical sales.

    Experience needed to deliver the role seamlessly:

    • Previous experience, minimum 3-4 years in sales, marketing or product management and product launches in a pharmaceutical environment preferably some in the vaccine market.
    • Customer relationship management.
    • Knowledge of the legislation surrounding the pharmaceutical industry, inclusive of pricing, marketing, and regulatory issues.
    • Knowledge and ability to interpret IMS market data, pricing data.
    • Excellent presentation and networking skills
    • Must have reliable car and able to travel locally

    KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:

    Core Technical Delivery:

    District and facility support

    • Establish and maintain relationships with districts and facility procurement pharmacists to improve sales of Biovacs vaccines
    • Provide on the ground support during outreach programmes, campaigns, and catch-up drives.
    • Partner with the sales team to align activities in both public and private sector with Biovacs vaccine supply and commercial goals.
    • Gather and share field insights and feedback that can guide sales strategies and improve customer service on a weekly basis.
    • Support Key Account Manager with relationship building, technical input, and problem solving at facility and depot level.
    • Formulate and review action plans to realise opportunities in line with Biovacs plans.
    • Develop and build strong business relationships with customers.
    • Training to customers on product features/benefits, product utilisation.
    • Lead Product launches projects from early stage and drive local product launches
    • Building Biovacs presence in the market
    • Report on competitor activity and pricing trends in order to remain competitive in the market.
    • Capture short and long term business opportunities based on in-depth and customer understanding.
    • Assist with compiling RFQ s.
    • Provide Key Accounts Manager with accurate and timely input into sales planning that will support business strategy and revenue targets.
    • To provide realistic plans and forecasts based on customer performance.
    • Conduct market landscape and customer analysis, identify opportunities in the market.
    • Attend relevant conferences and provide feedback to the business on key learnings.
    • Provide Monthly status reports on all activities

    Business Management

    Sales

    • Achieve and exceed sales targets
    • Collaborate with sales team to execute strategies that drive Biovacs vaccines in public and private

    Sales Strategy

    • Provide input to the sales forecast
    • Support the plan to achieve sales targets within agreed expense budget
    • Monitoring competitor activity and identifying opportunities for new products.

    Customer Relations Management Strategy

    • Develop and implement a CRM strategy
    • Ensure effective communication with all customers

    Finance Project Lead

    Experience needed to deliver the role seamlessly:

    • 5+ years experience in a financial accounting role
    • Experience in a manufacturing concern or a company with a high level of fixed assets and project activity.
    • Proven experience in managing the financial aspects of new facility construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting

    KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:

    Core Technical Delivery:

    Fixed Asset Management

    Prepare Governance of project assets:

    • Adherence to IFRS and best practice for asset management, including but not limited to asset classification and assigning of asset numbers, the management of assets with components, and the determination of useful lives with the Strategic Project Lead
    • Thorough documentation of the rational of how assets were classified, how components were considered and how the useful lives were determined
    • Review and release fixed asset requisitions relating to the project in accordance with project asset governance requirements.
    • Ensure that SAP asset numbers correspond with all systems which govern assets and their respective maintenance programs (for e.g. SAP, pragma, trackwise)
    • Manage assets under construction – ensure that all related costs are capitalised and rationale documented.
    • Maintenance of the Wear-and-Tear register for fixed assets relating to the project in accordance with Company Tax Act and in conjunction with Tax Lead. Ensure that any respective incentives and allowances are applied for, documented and claimed from SARS.
    • Work with Risk and Compliance and Financial Accounting to ensure that adequate insurance is in place for project activity and assets.
    • Liaise with technical accounting and Tax consultants to ensure that treatment of intangibles relating to project activity, and other special items is correct, and adequately substantiated with memos and other supporting documentation
    • Review the fixed asset receipts to ensure that all costs including freight and set up costs are capitalised correctly
    • Prepare monthly reporting decks. Report on project deliverables and metrics in Monthly meetings.
    • Prepare useful life and impairment assessments as required
    • Review and recommend approval of asset transfer and scrapping requests

    General Ledger Maintenance

    • Ensure that project cost- and profit centres are set up, and that costs are allocated to the correct codes
    • Analyse operating costs to ensure that any relevant items are capitalised to fixed assets or intangible assets, where required.
    • Convert project lifecycle into annual budgets for 2026 to 2029.
    • Main liaison with project managers. Ensure that relevant information is incorporated into the base business financials.
    • Coach analysts on fixed asset administration, general ledger maintenance and cash flow updates
    • Perform any month end or year-end activities as per the period end checklists.

    Cash and Treasury Management

    • Maintain a detailed 3 month forecast to ensure that cash requirements are met. Liaise with the Treasury lead to ensure that funds are available to meet short term commitments and requirements
    • Compile a robust 12-month cash flow forecast for the project
    • Ensure that SARB approvals are in place where required in conjunction with Treasury Lead
    • Project payment tracking: ensure that all payments are executed timeously and that all payment documentation and proof of payments are filed and available for internal and external audits, as well as any funder requests
    • Prepare funding disbursement requests and consolidate required supporting documentation
    • Actively manage cash. Monitor and report on cash usage and funder balances. Investigate solutions to manage exchange risks and excess cash.
    • Funding due diligence exercises.
    • Monitor and report on funding covenants, attend to all Funder reporting requests and requirements.

    Additional Duties

    • Preparation of ad hoc schedules or reports as requested by funders
    • Attend to any audit requirements relating to project banking and cash
    • Audit support – provide supporting documentation and assist with fixed asset verification
    • Internal control audits
    • SAP improvement projects – participate in SAP projects and changes where required
    • Funding due diligence exercises – ensure that all Financial Accounting deliverables are met.
    • Monitor and report on funding covenants, attend to all Funder reporting requests and requirements
    • Provide any financial support to the project teams as required

    • Deliver consolidated financial statements and ensure tax compliance.
    • Maintain a strong culture of internal control and audit readiness.
    • Lead departmental planning, capacity management, and talent retention.
    • Drive quality management and continuous improvement within the department.
