Internal Auditor at South African National Space Agency (SANSA)

Description

Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and reporting on SANSA’s internal controls, processes, policies, and mechanisms to ensure they are adequate, effective, and in compliance with regulatory principles, industry standards, and corporate guidelines.

Key performance areas will include, but are not limited to:

• Implementation and execution of the annual audit plan, as approved, including, as appropriate any special tasks or projects requested.
• Planning, execution, and reporting of audits.
• Establishment of quality control assurance operations.
• Implementation of immediate, short- and long-term objectives of internal audit.

Requirements

The ideal candidate must have the following qualifications and experience:

• A three-year National Diploma or BCom in Internal Audit or related qualification.
• A minimum of 4-5 years’ post-article work experience, of which two must be on a supervisory level.
• Knowledge of all public sector internal audit frameworks as well as applicable sector regulatory frameworks.
• Three (3) years of completed articles through an audit institution/firm/company.
• Studying towards a CIA would be advantageous.
