• Boxer Superstores, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pick and Pay, is a rapidly growing Supermarket discount chain operating in all provinces throughout South Africa. Owing to our growth we are looking for an experienced Investigator to be based within our Cape Division.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct investigations in a professional and confidential manner
• Investigate and identify the cause of high shrinkage at store level
• Implement measures to minimise causes of shrinkage
• Collate evidence for successful prosecution in criminal and internal matters
• Present cases to criminal court and at internal disciplinary enquiries
• Writing of statements and reports
• Assist with compiling of evidence for enquiries and must be able to testify as witness
• Able to attend CCMA cases
• Manage internal informers and process information received by informers
• Recruit and compile informers reports and files
• Store visits – meet with management and shrinkage committee to identify problem
• Meeting with security/shop stewards to discuss any concerns
• Assist the Polygraphist, SAPS investigators and other law enforcement agencies.
• Record and update the company of all successful and unsuccessful investigations completed
• Extensive travel throughout the business will be required
   

Qualification and Experience

• Attention to detail and ability to identify risk and controls associated to mitigate risk·        
• Investigative ability and problem solving skills is necessary
• Must have report writing skills
• Post matric – degree/diploma in criminal law or criminal investigations will be an advantage
• 5 years investigative experience is essential
• Experience at SAPS will be an added advantage
• Computer literacy essential
