To perform the daily administrative tasks relating to the management of software and technology-related hardware within the organization. This includes monitoring and recording software licenses and/or hardware assets to ensure compliance with vendor contracts. Assist in monitoring business unit compliance to approved Desktop Optimisation standards, strategies and practices, administration of the central asset management system and allocation of software licenses across FNB.
Experience and qualifications
Grade 12 with exemption
Certification in IT Service Management (ITIL, CoBit etc..), Software or Hardware Asset Management advantageous
5-7 years work experience in Information Technology with at least 2 years direct involvement in IT Asset Management.
Solid working knowledge of software licensing agreements.
Familiarity and technical competence with asset management software and/or inventory-tracking systems.
Ability to monitor Asset Management Information and reports and escalate on trends
Solid working knowledge of current IT technologies across a wide variety of areas.
Knowledge of accounting, finance, procurement and logistics
Ability to deal tactfully with vendors, suppliers, and contractors who provide a broad spectrum of products and services.
Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
