Job Description

The purpose of this role is to effectively provide infrastructure services frameworks for all departments and ensure the optimum, uninterrupted functionality and security of operating systems within the IPP Office

Key Responsibilities

Provide advice on evaluation, selection, implementation and maintenance of information systems, ensuring appropriate investment in strategic and operational systems. Negotiate relevant information systems acquisition contracts, soliciting involvement and participation of other management team members as appropriate. Communicate IT infrastructure and systems plans, policies and technology trends throughout the IPP Office and project sponsors Facilitate the approval, coordination and controls for all projects related to selection, development and installation of major information systems for the IPP Office Provide quality service to end users in needs analysis, solution recommendation, vendor selection, implementation, training and post-installation support. Plan and manage the preventative and routine server maintenance across the organisation which include checking backups, event logs and general configuration Enhance infrastructure in line with industry best practice Document and implement policies and procedures relating to infrastructure and solutions Develop and implement appropriate IT security policies and procedures. Provide technical leadership to projects owned and provide the internal authority on technical focus areas Manage, control and secure group assets ensuring minimal losses or damage.

Expertise & Technical Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree specialising in IT Minimum of 8 years experience within the IT environment, of which no less than 3 has been in the overall management of an IT Department including people management. Minimum of 3 years experience in managing the IT service delivery and technical support ideally for a small/medium sized organisation. Knowledge and understanding of Project Management disciplines & methodologies
