IT Software Tester - Personal Lines Insurance at OUTsurance

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate in and across project development teams to test all required system modifications and functionality within and across development projects

• Compile test runs using structured test cases and present the testing planning to the testing group and participate during test plan reviews

• Test in an agile manner by capitalizing on on-the-job learnings around exploratory testing and testing sessions

• Holding the space for quality within the development project team

• Promote uptake of new technologies and tools to improve testing abilities.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

• Matric

• At least 12 months experience testing in a team that supports a short-term insurance Personal Lines product including Sales and Client Care exposure

• Strong computer skills with a good knowledge of a variety of different Windows-based programs

• Experience working in agile teams using scrum and / or Kanban

• Ability to perform REST API testing through either PostMan or Swagger (Open API) interface

• Interpreting application error logs

Beneficial requirements and open to learning:

• Experience in an IT environment or IT studies.

• Exposure to test automation experience in Web (Katalon, Selenium, Protractor or Cypress)

• Exposure to a Test Case Management Tool (TestRail)

• Understanding of API and mobile application branching strategies

• Exposure to UiPath 

• Exposure to Cosmos database

• Basic understanding of SEQ error logging 

• ISTQB Qualification
