IT Technical Support & Integration Specialist at DRA Global

About the job

• We are looking for an experienced technical specialist to join our IT Platform Engineering team, where they will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and integration of our key back-office systems, including HRMS, Payroll, Timekeeping, and ERP. This role requires deep technical expertise in SQL Server, network, and server management (both in Azure and locally hosted environments). The specialist will be responsible for troubleshooting complex data integration issues, monitoring system performance, and proactively resolving potential disruptions. Their contributions will be essential in maintaining system reliability, optimizing performance, and supporting our overall business operations.
• In addition to providing expert technical leadership, the specialist will collaborate closely with team members and other IT and engineering teams to develop and enhance integration and reporting solutions. They will ensure all systems align with best practices and DevOps principles, while also facilitating clear communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders. QUALIFICATIONS

• National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) essential
• Diploma in. Information technology / Computing or similar essential
• BSc Information technology / Computing or similar advantageous

• Software development
• MS SQL Server development
• Microsoft Development Environments
• Demonstrated experience in IT technical services, IT standards, and methodologies
• Microsoft Office Systems
• Knowledge of programming languages and frameworks used in the development of the solution
• Advanced Server Knowledge
• Microsoft Server Environments
• Microsoft Power Platform
• Microsoft PowerShell / other script environments
• Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps and other CI/CD tools
• Experience in successfully managing and delivery of complex ICT Projects
• Advanced Systems and data security Knowledge

KNOWLEDGE AREAS ESSENTIAL

• Experience working in Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience and working knowledge of relational databases, and software development frameworks.
• Knowledge and experience in the software development life cycle.
• Experience in working with various programming languages (Python, C#.net, VB.net).
• Knowledge of IT Security protocols, processes, policies and standards, information security.
• Good knowledge of the business systems marketplace and how it can support DRA operations.
• Proven ability to impart information and communicate complex technical IT concepts in a professional manner and to a wide range of audiences, including the development of documentation at a high standard.
• Experience in implementing and use of monitoring software.
• Extensive knowledge of Windows server, including Active Directory.
• Proven ability to contribute significantly to change processes.
